The food was really good and service was good as well. The food came out pretty quick as well. The inside was clean and there was lots of indoor/outdoor seating. We got a few appetizers. We ordered the poke and cod ceviche. We also got a clam chowder bread bowl and fish and chips. The clam chowder bread bowl was the best dish I ate. The bread was toasted and made the soup stay hot longer. The fish and chips were also good. After eating appetizers, we were pretty full after.

Very dated and dark interior, felt kinda like eating in a liminal horror movie space with paid actors. I did like the happy hour calamari, we got two plates and they were pretty good, but nothing amazing. The clam chowder was decent. The linguini was also good but the noodles and sauce did not mesh well together. Fish and chips were tender and crispy. Salad was plated nicely but had weird cuts.

Had a wonderful beach day lunch. The food items we ordered were so yummy with the seafood pasta as my favorite. Service was quick and servers were friendly. Place is cute. However we missed the entrance and had to go around the establishment and it was not enticing to see the disorganized back area. It did not give a great impression.

I come to the flying Fish Grill occasionally when I'm in the half Moon Bay Area. I usually come with either my wife, my daughter or my mother or some combination of those and we all find things we like on the menu. Myself personally, I like the crabby cheese bread, my wife she likes regular garlic bread, which they sometimes don't have but, I often get the Salmon BLT,and my daughter enjoys the salmon and my wife usually gets the fried prawns and occasionally she'll get the fried prawns! In addition, the service is actually really good! Twuy was our server and she is excellent!I t's quiet in there. We watch the soccer games while we were waiting No problem at all. I would highly recommend!

The Food After a nice morning stroll around Half Moon Bay, we discovered Flying Fish Grill for lunch. It seems like a nice local restaurant with a variety of dishes. We ordered their Prawns Salad, Jambalaya, and Fish and Chips. The Prawns Salad was good, with an interesting orange blossom dressing. The Jambalaya was flavorful and the Fish and Chips were good as well. They also had a good variety of other dishes, but one can only eat so much, so next time. The Miscellaneous The restaurant is off one of the main roads with parking available in the rear. The exterior and interior have interesting design. It quite reflects a seaside restaurant with various decorations. The restaurant has plenty of seating inside and outside, along with a bar area. The staff and service was good. They seated us promptly, took our order when we were ready, and the food arrived in a reasonable time. Their menu has a good variety of items from sandwiches to salad, to tacos, among others. They also have an extensive drink menu with wine, spirit, beer, etc. as well. This was an interesting restaurant to visit if you are in the area and looking for a variety of seafood.
